What is Symbal (Duloxetine Hydrochloride) used for?
Symbal (Duloxetine) is used in the treatmemt of depression and anxiety. This drug is also used to treat nerve pain in patients suffering from certain conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, back pain or fibromyalgia. This drug belongs to a class of medications known as serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) which work by restoring the equilibrium of natural substances in the brain such as serotonin and norepinephrine.
How should I use Symbal (Duloxetine Hydrochloride)?
Symbal (Duloxetine) tablets are taken orally. Adult patients may be directed by their physician to take this drug once or twice per day, with or without food. However, the exact dosage required varies, depending on the condition being treated, and patients should always consult their physician before taking this medication so that the correct dosage can be prescribed. Your physician may prescribe a low dosage to begin with, and gradually increase your dosage. Patients should continue to take this drug, even if their symptoms appear to have disappeared, as patients who suddenly stop taking this medication may experience withdrawal symptoms.
What are the side effects of Symbal (Duloxetine Hydrochloride)?
Some side effects which may occur as a result of taking Symbal (Duloxetine) include:
Consult your physician immediately if any of these side effects persist or worsen, or if you notice dark urine, bloody stools, unusual bruising or bleeding, a decreased sexual ability, hallucinations, restlessness, severe dizziness or fever.

Patients who have taken an MAO inhibitor in the last 2 weeks should not take this drug.
